Our mission is to make disciples in Christ, like Christ and for Christ. We believe discipleship happens best in the context of meaningful, caring relationships. Each of us are on a journey, together, towards maturity and wholeness. Spiritual growth is intentional, so by God’s grace we joyfully agree to “spur one another on to love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24).
Children are an integral part of our church. Our aim is for every child to know God’s love and to put their trust in Jesus. We teach children Prek4-5th through Bible stories, songs of praise, games, skits, conversation, object lessons, mission opportunities, field trips, camp, and Vacation Bible school.
Our goal is to encourage youth to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by providing them with resources to grow in worship, ground them in the Word, and give them opportunities to witness, serve others and have fun. We also help them develop the skills to make wise decisions at this critical time in their lives.
The purpose of our Worship Ministry is to bring honor and glory to God with offerings of praise through music and creative arts. Our worship band, choir, ensembles, drama and seasonal music presentations inspire and encourage our church to worship and exalt God.
The Women’s Ministry at VCN seeks to glorify God by challenging women to know God personally, to grow in Christ- likeness, to discover and use their spiritual gifts, and to love and serve others.
Men’s ministry provides opportunities for men to pursue spiritual growth and leadership through Bible study, prayer, fellowship, accountability and ministry.
This ministry, J.O.Y. (Just older Youth), provides Christ-centered activities addressing the spiritual, social, physical and educational needs of senior men and women.
We offer Sunday School classes for toddlers through adults that meet during both worship services. Each class is designed to encourage spiritual growth and is built around Bible study, fellowship, and prayer.
Elective classes are offered throughout the year that helpstrengthen our faith. Topics include: Understanding our Wesleyan Faith, How to Read the Bible More Effectively, Understanding the Basics of Theology, and Learning About Spiritual Gifts and Disciplines.
VCN supports Nazarenes engaged in missions in over 160 world areas. We promote missions by helping build churches and clinics, sponsoring child development centers, digging wells, and assisting initiatives designed to transform communities and alleviate extreme poverty. Our Manna Ministries program distributes food following each Sunday evening worship service. We also have a garden for anyone in the community to grow fresh vegetables. VCN also offers English Language Learning classes on Sunday evenings.
